Displaying charts and diagrams

Displaying a chart

Charts can be displayed by right clicking on a node and selecting one of the available charts. Certain chart types can only be displayed on certain types of nodes.

Saving charts

Open charts as well as their position on the canvas will be saved with your tree for later use.

Chart types

In dNodes there are 4 different types of charts:

  • Distribution chart
  • Bar chart
  • Tornado diagram
  • Waterfall diagram

Distribution chart

A distribution chart visualizes where the outcome is most likely going to be, as well as a high, low and expected outcome.

Bar chart

A bar chart shows the weighted value of a branch.

Tornado diagram

A tornado diagram presents the 5 most impactful variables for your tree, and can give insights into what will make or break your project. Hover each bar to show details.

Waterfall diagram

A waterfall diagram shows the cashflow of your project, as well as the expected end result.

Expanding charts

All charts and diagrams can be expanded to get a better view. Just press the ‘+’ (plus) sign in the top left corner of the chart you would like to enlarge. An enlarged chart can be shrinked the same way, by pressing the ‘-‘ (minus) sign.
